So, this is my attempt at keeping in touch.
In a world where we can connect with the other side of the planet as quickly as we can go next door to ask for a cup of sugar (or in my case I am a chronic egg stealer, thank-you Carmen!) I am sad to say that I do not communicate well. Well, in truth, I communicate quite well, I just don’t… Hmmm, what word am I looking for? I just don’t put myself out there that much. I’ve always worked customer service, so I’m on the phone all day for work, where I have to be extra nice to people that are not always that nice to me. When I get home, or on the weekends, the last thing I am thinking about is “Let’s call every person in my phone book to get updates and give updates.” Not to mention the fact that I tend to walk away from conversations feeling like I just talked someones ear off! I don’t mean to be self-involved, I just like to talk. My Grandpa Bill used say that I “Come by it honestly.”
So! In order to give friends and family a break from my ever-droning voice, I am taking a page from some far-away loved ones and starting a blog to update those of you that want the updates. I’m online quite a bit, so to keep my cyber voice in check, I will only be posting twice a week, with the occasional random thought or rant sprinkled in from time to time. Sunday evenings I will post what my lovely cousin Sarah calls a Daybook. It will give a bit of insight on what the happenings are for that moment in time (where my head is at) and what happened that week. Then I will do a Wordless Wednesday post. So basically, on Wednesdays, just look forward to seeing random pictures of whatever we have been doing. I feel like W.W. will also help me bust out my camera a bit more often than I do. I have really grown bad at taking pictures, and I used to love it! Not to mention the fact that we have a couple decent cameras that, if they were humans, would be fat and lazy from lack of use!
So, that’s it, for now. That’s me, that’s my plan. All you have to do is read along, imagine my (insert adjective here, I would go with annoying or obnoxious, but feel free to play around with) voice and enjoy some day-to-days.
I chose the page name of “Heidi-isms” because that is what someone said once in a reply to an email. They told me they could pretty much hear my voice because of the way I wrote the email. That’s pretty much how I roll… This isn’t a job interview, it’s not a school assignment. What you’re going to get here is me, slightly censored, but how I think it, how I would say it out loud, that’s how I write it.
Peace out!

Hi Heidi:)! Glad you started a BLOG. You can keep us updated on that side of our world. So, my favorite Heidi-ism to this day, ( and I'm almost certain I am speaking for several other of my family members as well) Is “fishy, fishy stockings”. For those of you who may be wondering where in the world that originated from, you'll need to ask the authoress herself, (or her cousins!:)
HA! I really did LOL!!! It was “pretty, pretty fishy stockings!” I still can't say it without laughing!!! Actually Michele was the one that first said it, I just took it over. That happened in the airport on our way to see you guys! Michele put on Danny's walk-man headphones and didn't know how loud she was talking. A girl walked by, with nylons with fish on them, and out popped “PRETTY, PRETTY FISHY STOCKINGS!” We couldn't stop laughing! I looked for fish tights for years! Too fun!!!
alrighty then! Will look for your posts and rants and what not…hey! I did not get anything from your bro- regarding the kitchen stuff?
