Outside my window…
A bit wet outside, I don’t remember it raining though… Oh yeah! I’ve been in the house all day! Didn’t get as much done as I like but got in lots of snuggle time with my girls!
I am thankful…
For the internet! Isn’t it amazing that no matter how far away someone is physically that they seem closer via the internet? And thankful for mail… I did receive a letter from my brother a few weeks ago! To be honest, I really didn’t think he would write to me at all. I keep thinking of writing him a letter, I’ve had some great ones stored up in my head, but I finally put ink to paper (literally) when I got that envelope! Little Bro is not much of a writer, but he knows I tend to be! Even if I don’t get another letter, I will always be thankful to him for sending me that one. Oh! And he got assigned his M16, can’t wait to hear how assembling and using it goes!
I am thinking about…
My Little Brother… Of course! Oh, and about things I can do to keep an almost-two-year-old busy while Mommy has to work. Of course, once Little Sister is old enough to play with, this will all solve itself, right? Oh yeah, then comes the fighting over toys…

Learning all the time…
We are currently learning how to deal with tantrums. All of us… I don’t deal well with tantrums, not unless I get to be the one having them! We’re getting there though!

From the kitchen…
We’re really trying to eat more at home! I made a chicken cassarole last week, and spaghetti! Last night hubby made burgers and we had artichokes and VELVETA shells and cheese. Tonight it was steak and potatoes with asparagus. We’re also trying to get a bit more fruits and veggies in and a bit less carbs… I’m not calling it a “diet” it’s just changing a few ways we eat! The goal was to use as much of what we have on hand as possible and then to buy less pre-packaged foods and do more from scratch meals. It takes a bit more time, and it’s time I have to manage.

That whole time-management thing! It’s amazing how fast the day goes and at the end how frustrated I get with the things that didn’t get done. Also planning a small get-together for the birthday girl next month! I can’t believe she’s already 2!

Cinnabon Sundays! We picked up some cinnamon rolls at Costco last week with Cinnabon cinnamon and frosting. Yummy!

Oh the randomness! Can’t think of something completely random, so I will tell you that I absolutely love the new shows Alcatraz and The Finder! The Finder is too funny!!! Alcatraz? Just. Plain. Awesome!!! Probably not for children but the whole concept is just amazing.
