Outside my window…
The clouds look so white against the bright blue sky! Looking out the window it is deceiving how cold it really is out there… But the wind gives a little hint.
I am thankful…
Oh yes, I am! I am thankful for prayers that get answered in their own time. And for two amazing little girls that are getting closer to being on real schedules! And for the rest I got this weekend!
I am thinking about…
So many things! About making special cookies for my sister-in-law to bring to my brother when she sees him very soon! And about the spider bite I heard he got but didn’t really want to talk about. Thinking about tons of sewing projects that I am itching to work on! I should be in my sewing room now doing just that… So I better hurry!
Learning all the time…
As always, learning to balance what I want to get done and what I need to get done. Knowing deep down that what needs to get done will and what I want to get done may just take some extra time.

From the kitchen…
Yesterday for breakfast I made chocolate chip pancakes with green eggs and ham and for dinner corned beef and cabbage, in honor of St. Patrick’s Day! I added some carrots and red potatoes and we had my in-laws over for a nice at-home kind of celebration. My mom brought some Irish Soda bread that was incredibly yummy and finished off the meal with a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting! I don’t know how “Irish” the cake was, but I can tell you it was WONDERFUL!!! Today I made open-faced tuna melts and cut up apples and oranges for lunch. And pretty soon I will be headed back to the kitchen to make up some no-bake cookies for my amazing baby brother!

Lately? Food! But I am also in the process of making my first ever custom-designed diaper bag! Yes, I have made diaper bags. And I have made custom-altered diaper bags using Simplicity patterns, but I have never made a custom bag from start to finish with no pattern. I am very excited and totally freaked out all at the same time! I will try to post status over at Stuff N Junk by Heidi but you all know me, if I don’t forget to take pictures I will probably forget to post them!

Little things… I still haven’t finished that Belle costume and I just bought the fabric to make a Cinderella costume! I want to re-do Big Sister’s room, so I keep stopping to jot down notes. I found some flannel-backed-satin that I am itching to make jammies for Big Sister out of and some fleece and minky fabric that looks like it wants to be a snugly blankie!!! All that and we are looking to organize and pack-up some things around the house!

Patterns, notes, blogs… Not much else. I have heard some great things about the book Hunger Games, so I am planning on getting that for my NOOK soon and trying to sneak in a few minutes here and there to read!

Something on the t.v. about sharks. I am deathly afraid of sharks… You know the nightmares kids have about boogie-men under the bed? Yeah, well, I have always had nightmares that my bed is really out in the middle of the ocean and there are sharks under there… Very hungry sharks. The really sad thing is, no matter how much they freak me out, you just can’t stop either of us (hubby or me) from watching all the shows about them!

We got things nice and cleaned for our company yesterday. Laundry almost got caught up last week! Same-old, same-old! I wish we had some big project going on! We do have plans to correct the duct work under the house, repair some of the bathroom plumbing and to get the hot tub fixed… Bet you’re jealous now huh?

Weekends that I don’t have to get out of my jammies! Well, I did get dressed when the in-laws came over, but mostly I just hang out in my fleece jammie-pants and comfy T-shirt!
A few plans for the rest of the week…
Two appointments on Monday, long appointment on Tuesday, work and chores the rest of the week. Maybe I can sneak in some sewing?

Random thought…
I think I may have emptied my brain of all real thoughts. Since my mom has been around lately we have been watching General Hospital. I go back and forth on it. I will go a week or two without watching and then when something “big” happens I’ll check in. This week (I think it has been a couple weeks now) Robin died. Can you believe I am actually getting emotional about this? But I have been watching GH since I was a little kid, and Robin is just about my age and has been on the show almost since I started watching! While I am certainly happy for the actress that plays Robin to be moving on to a new career, I am so heartbroken that they have killed off her character. And watching the flash-backs, it’s like saying good-bye to an old friend!
